Part I, WADC Technical Report 53-1*33, A STUDY OF ENVIRONMENTAL TEMP¬ERATURE AND PRESSURE EFFECTS ON THE PLATE DISSIPATION RATING OF RECEIVING TUBES, presenting an extrapolation of the plate dissipation rating for high effective environmental temperatures and varying pressures, is supple¬mented by additional information consisting of:n(a) Plate dissipation rating extrapolation curves for certain subminiature tube types.n(b) More general curves showing constant plate temperature contours plotted on coordinates of total power input versus maximum bulb temper-ature. (c) Evidence showing that internal tube temperatures are not directly affected by environmental conditions.n(d) An empirical method allowing the determination of the maximum bulb temperature from total power input and environmental temperature.n(e) Confidence limits on maximum bulb temperature and plate temperature showing variation by manufacturer.
