The results obtained by this investigation are summarized as follows:nThere samples of GB Plant brines supplied by the Army Chemical Corps were analyzed and impurities identified.nA process was developed for treatment of the GB Plant brine to prepare a brine that appears to be suitable for feed to hooker Type s electrolytic chloring cells.nA design was prepared for facilities to process sufficient GB Plant bring to operate a block of 25 Hooker Type S cells, for a 120-day test run.nAn estimated expenditure of $195,000 will be required to reactivate a block of 25cells, to convert existing facilities, and to provide the additional facilities necessary to process the GB Plant brine for a 120-day plant test.nIt is estimated that the expense of operating the proposed facilities for a 120-day plane test will total about $92,000 per calendar month.
