EIGHTH QUARTERLY PROGRESS REPORT STUDY OF AGING EFFECTS ON MILITARY PLATED CRYSTAL UNITS

As of 31 January, 1955，a total quantity of 384 crystal units have been sub¬jected to aging tests. The 100 CR-19/U units to be fabricated by the contractor per terms of contract Modification No. 2 have been completed and placed in the 75℃ constant temperature ovens. These 15 MC units comprise 14 specific variations in process as shown in Table V on page 34, and their frequency and resistance measurements are being made at both their fundamental and 3rd overtone. The aging data do not show any appreciable difference between these two measurements, except for the higher unit resistance values at the overtone frequencv.
