摘要

This report utilizes the methods and ideas described in Parts I and II of this continuing study to appraise the ef¬fects of three factors on the thermal stresses. One of these concerns the accuracy with which the temperature distribution must be determined. Another deals with the influence of the thermal properties of structural materials on the transient temperatures and hence on the thermal stresses. The third factor concerns the influence of the acceleration of the air¬plane. Numerical results have been obtained and the trends are indicated.
