NEW ANALYTICAL METHOD FOR CALORIMETRIC STUDY OF HYDROGENATION OF SOME FLUOROORGANIC COMPOUNDS

The weighing method, used for measurement of the rate of hydrogenation of halogen free olefins was found to be unsatisfactory, (The term "halogen" as used here is meant to apply to only Cl, Br and I)nTo study the rate of hydrogenation of such compounds as CF2CH2 a new analytical method was developed. In these studies, hydrogen was used as an unlimited reactant with a constant rate flowthroughout the run with the olefin as the limiting reactant.
