It was a policy of this contract to issue technical reports in the form of reprints of published articles. For the most part publications were based on individual thesis problems. The selection of these problems, within the limits of the research program, was determined largely by the inclinations and talents of the various students associated with this contract. There is thus a very considerable variety of topics represented in the technical reports. For this reason it appears best to list these reports in chronological order, and to summarize briefly the important results of each individual report.
