摘要

Additional equipment needed in connection with a bolometer detection system was designed, built and tested. This included a low-noise 30-cycle amplifier, additional helmholts coils, improved barretters and a d.c. supply for the barretters. A new gas-handling system was designed and built, resulting in greater ease in control and higher pumping speeds. The frequency standards used wore recalibrated. The effect of the resonant cavity on the applied modulating field was studied both theoretically end experimentally. A sensitivity measurement of the entire detention system was made.
