The increased employment of frequencies in the 950 to 1215 mc range necessitated the design and construction of a model range to provide an ade¬quate means of determination of the performance of full-scale antennas in this frequency band. Utilization of a frequency of approximately 24,000 mc results in the use of scale models of a reasonable size. Test patterns were made on a 1/20 scale model of an A3D airplane. The pat¬terns indicate that the model range operated satisfactorily in all respects. The addition of the K-band model range greatly increases the flexi¬bility and capacity of exist¬ing antenna evaluation facili¬ties at the Naval Air Test Center
