DEVELOPMENT OF SPECIFICATIONS FOR GLASSINE PAPER

Picatinny Arsenal was asked by Office, Chief of Ordnance to prepare a specification which would permit the procurement of glassine paper. Samples of representative commercial glassine papers were supplied by the Glassine and Greaseproof Manufacturers Asso¬ciation and tested at Picatinny Arsenal to establish appropriate specification tests and requirements. On the basis of the results, a draft of a proposed speci-fication for glassine paper has been pre¬pared.
