STRESSES AND SECONDARY EFFECTS IN THERMALLY-INDUCED BEAM VIBRATIONS

摘要

The stresses accompanying thermally induced vibrations of beamas are studied. The stresses are found to depend on a non-dimensional parameter expressing the ratio between the natural frequency of the beam and a characteristic thermal time;the error introdueed by neglecting inertia effects is large for thin beams (or plates).
