High-Framing-Rate, Argon-Flash Field Photographs

摘要

This report describes a method of taking successive photographs of high-speed transient events by means of an argon-explosive system. The system comprises an explosive-train assembly, Fresnel lens, and a number of cameras. The photographic results of a series of plate-perforation tests using 20-mm gun fired projectiles are presented.
