1) Certain physical, chemical and biological properties of She venom of the round stingray and bat stingray wore studied.n2) Saline, aqueous, urea, KC1 and glycerol-water extracts of the venom are extremely labile.n3) The lethality of the venom is rapidly lost on heating.n4) Lyophilised saline extracts of the venom are labile. Lyophilised intact stings appear to be stable.n5) Bovine serum albumin affords some factor related to the stability of the saline extract of the venom.n6) A number of amino acids were identified in the crude extract of the venom.
