摘要

The DA reduction of 3-alkoxypropionitriles by lithium aluminum hydride in ether results in 5-10% cleavage at high hydride concentrations (MRHN≥l) and 52-66$ cleavage at low concentrations (MRHN<1). RA reduction in ether, as well as both DA and RA reductions in tetrahydrofuran, lead to high cleavage over a wide range of MRHN. Explanations are offered for the varying amounts of hydrogen and parent alcohol produced.
