SURVEY OF LITERATURE ON DEGRADATION AND STABILIZATION OF HALIDE-CONTAINING POLYMERS SUCH AS POLYVINYL CHLORIDE

There has been a rapid growth of the plastics industry in the last fifteen years. Much of this growth can be attributed to the class of plastics commonly referred to as the "vinyls". These are referred to here as polymers node free vinyl chloride alone (PVC) and from vinyl chloride and other monomers, such as vinyl acetate, vinyl propionate in ethyl acrylate, dibutyl maleate, diethyl fumarate, vinylidene chloride, vinyl fluoride, and other polymerizable olefinic compounds.
