The requirement for quartz crystal units operating at frequencies below 500 kc/sec is increasing, and the precision required is becoming greater. The present standard maximum temperature at which crystal units must maintain specified performance is 80℃;however, current requirements make it necessary to increase this limit to 100℃.nThe research and development involves an¬alytical and experimental investigation of mounting methods and materials it is ex¬pected that this investigation will provide optimum mounting techniques and suitable material to be utilized in establishing de¬sign data tore crystal units possessing greater precision end operating at increased temperatures.
