In the fifth report data was presented on beveled blanks and on a rectangular crystal with extremely small Z’ dimension with square edges, while the “sliver” crystal was interesting from the standpoint of simplify?ing the spectrum it was deemed advisable not to continue much further work along this line at the present, al?though it is of academic interest, it apparently would not result in a practical crystal.nA meeting with the Signal Corps representatives indicated that the primary effort at this time should be further work on beveled blanks. As a result of these discussions it was agreed to concentrate on beveling with various configurations such as angles, depth of bevel, etc., and this sixth report is con?cerned primarily with this work.
