Voltage Reference System for Use with Galvanometers in Flight Testing

A voltage reference system for use with galvanometers in flight testing has been developed. The system enables flight test data from voltage transducers, such as thermocouples, to be corrected for changes in galvanometer sensitivity, galvanometer resistance and galvanometer null. Changes of transducer resistance due to changes of temperature may also be compensated with this system.nThe use of the system is limited to cases in which the galvanometer current may be calculated as the product of a function of time and a function of the deflection of the galvanometer trace from its null position. Analysis of the system indicates that an accuracy of 0.1 percent of full scale may be achieved
