Minimum Weight Design of Steel Framed Structures under Shakedown Loading

The first part of the paper discusses the minimum weight design of framed structures under both fixed and independently varying loads.nAn iterative method is then presented for the minimum weight design of a frame of any degree of complexity; this iterative method may lead to results which are slightly inexact.
