This report gives information on the properties of rigid polyvinyl chloride plastics. The materials investigated are representative of each of three classes (grouped according to strength properties) and were obtained from six different sources. The plastics were evaluated in terms of the following characteristics:n1. General mechanical, physical, and electrical propertiesn2. Effect of temperature on tensile propertiesn3. Effect of variation of strain rate on tensile propertiesn4. DurabilitynIn addition, fabrication methods, par?ticularly a new and more economical swaging procedure, are described.
