An apparatus is described by means of which accurate measure?ments and records of changing electromotive forces may be made. Because the major use of this instrument is the recording of small changes of temperature, detected by means of a thermocouple, it is referred to, by analogy, as a "recording Beckman thermometer." The characteristics and some uses of the instrument are discussed, and a description of the method of calibration is given.
