Air Motions Study, Ⅳ.Theoretical and Emperical Relations in Large Scale Motions

摘要

The objective of this study of empirical and theo¬retical relations in large scale atmospheric motions has been to contribute toward unification of the increasingly detailed and accurate analyses of atmospheric behaviour and the increasingly complete, but complex, theories. The real atmosphere and certain idealized models have been studied simultaneously, so that theory might provide in¬sight and understanding of the observations and at the same time observations might provide a check of the validity of the theories.
