摘要

The principle of stationary dissipation considered in the large sense implies that the rotational flow regime must terminate. Otherwise, the dissipation would be infinite and the stationary property of the dissipation function would then be without physical meaning. We observe that the drag of bodies moving through real fluids at constant velocities is always finite. This again supports from a pragmatic point of view, the hypothesis that the rotational regime is finite. Further, the development of boundary layers in real fluids is another aspect of this hypothesis.
