摘要

The effect of ionizing radiations on the hexitols D-mannitol and D-glucitol was studied by paper chromatographic and isolative techniques.nAn investigation of the relative susceptibilities of alpha and beta glycosidic lingages to ionizing radiations was intiated by study of the effects of these radiations on maltose and cellobiose.nThis work indicates the hydrolysis of maltose to glucose by the action of ionizing radiation.
