Extensions of Representations of Lie Groups and Lie AlgebraⅠ

In s4, we shall show how some of the basic results on the existence of faithful representations for connected Lie groups can be proved comparatively simply by means of the extension theorem. In particular, the use of Ado’s theorem on the existence of a faithful representation for a Lie algebra is completely eliminated.
