By means of a cold gas cooling system, the contents of the calo¬rimeter are cooled below room temperature, whereupon heat is supplied at a constant rate from the heater or source to be measured, until a discrete temperature above room temperature is obtained or exceeded.n2. At the instant the temperatures inside and outside the vessel are equal, ho heat exchange can occur, and the rate of change of tempera¬ture is an exact measure of the rat9 of heat supplied. However, it is not feasible to read this value from the recording with adequate accuracy; there¬fore a practical method of evaluation has been conceived
