A MULTIPLE RANGE VISCOMETER FOR LIQUIDS

Although viscosity for Newtonian fluids is a relatively easy property to measure and many data are presently available, there are surprisingly few data for Newtonian liquids at tempexatures between the normal boiling point and the critical temperature. This article describes a multiple range capillary-type viscometer capable of reliable measurements at temperatures up to 300℃and pressures up to 100 atmospheres, which covers the above temper¬ature range for low molecular weight organic liquids.
