摘要

A proteolytic enzyme produced at 55℃. by Bacillus stearothermaphilus strain 1503, was purified end studied.The purification procedure employed resulted in a 20 to 40 fold increase in specific activity over the crude starting material. Maximo activity was obtained at 55°C. and a pH of 6.9 to 7.2. The ensyne required Ca++ or Jta++ for activity on casein.
