Persistence of an Effect of a Success in a Bernoulli Sequence

The Bernoulli distributions are analyzed for the lengths of the runs of ones and zeros, the number of runs in a fixed number of trials, and certain asymptotic and ergodic properties. The methods of analysis depend strongly on the discrete character of the random variables involved. (Author)
