EXCRETION AND LOCALIZATION IN THE RAT OF C14 ADMINISTRED AS 3,4-BIS(p-DIETHYLAMINOETHOXYPHENYL)-3-HEXENE DIMETHIODIDE(879C) (U)

The excretion and localization within the body of a C14-labeled compound, 3, 4-bis(p-diethylaminoethoxyphenyl)-3-hexene dimethiodide (879C), were studied in the rat. This compound, peripherally paralyzing in action, was labeled at the four carbon loci within the two ethoxy groups.nThe mean urinary excretion was 7.3 per cent within 4.9 hours; at least three compounds, one of which may be unchanged 879C, were found by paper chromotographic methods.
