The purpose of this paper is to point out acne of the advantages that night be gained by the incorporation of "readout" tubes in Ordnance weapons systems. While such devices have been used in the past, the increased complexity of modern equipment, together with the associated human factors problems, justifies new emphasis on the use of such tubes.nThose applications discussed constitute only a small fraction of the many possibilities but may be considered representative of such uses.
