The Ordnance Corps uses adhesives in many assemblies for bonding metal to metal, metal to glass, metal to plastic, etc. Conventional adhesive compositions which operate by evaporation of the solvent are unsuitable for use on such impervious surfaces since the solvent cannot evaporate. This is particularly true when the surfaces to be particularly true when the surfaces to be united are of considerable size.
