Research and Development of the Study of Brittle Fracture of Ship Plate Steel by Electron Microscopy

摘要

This investigation was undertaken to study the applicability of electron microscopy in determining the relationship of microstructure of ship plate steel to its brittle fracture transition temperature for the purpose of obtaining a broader understanding of the phenomena involved in brittle failure of plating in ship hulls under service conditions.
