Three projects are presently being supported by this contract.nIn the cloverleaf traveling-wave tube project, testing has con¬tinued of the tube most recently built. Although the tube has delivered in excess of one megawatt through a portion of the passband, perform¬ance is in general not satisfactory because of the presence of persistent oscillations. Mechanical revision of the tube has been undertaken with a view toward allowing the introduction of additional attenuation.nIn the high-power, broadband tube structures project, work has proceeded on the structure and auxiliary components to be used in a tube which uses the centipede structure.
