The Correlation of a Long Series of Precipitable Water Measures at the Atmospheric Research Observatory with Surface Humidity (Vapor Pressure)

Precipitable water determinations for 746 days are presented in tabular form. The three complete calendar years within this series, January 1954 through December 1956, account for 612 of the observat¬ions, and these have been treated statistically by Dr. Frank Gifford, 0. S, Weather Bureau. The correlation with surface vapor pressure is excellent. The data portray the seasonal inarch of atmospheric water vapor at Flagstaff, Arizona in striking fashion.
