Alignment Chart for the Resistance Temporature Characteristics of Thermistors

A change of temperature of a thermistor can be brought about by a change of the current passing through, which must be strong enough to produce a heating effect. This leads to peculiar voltage current characteristics showing deviations from Ohm's law; this behavior of thermistors, however, is not treated here.nFor the following, it is assumed that the current is just strong enough to be used for measurement of resistance with sensitive instruments, in such a way that the thermistor is not heated up. Under these conditions the thermistor will always have the same temperature as the environment.
