The design and manufacture of a horizontal stabilizer control surface, made entirely from titanium, designed to F-100 airplane flight load criteria, plus a design operating temperature of 500°F, and static testing data to substantiate the design, is reviewed in this report.nFull detail information is given concerning design engineering, manufacturing methods, and testing procedures at room and elevated temperatures.
