摘要

The design of an air-supported, highly mobile, VHF-UHF directional antenna (Dipolaradome) is discussed. Basically, each antenna system consists of three independent Wullenweber-type arrays. The principal features of the system are an antenna scan of 360 degrees in azimuth, enabling bearing information to be obtained on incoming signals within the frequency range of 100 to 1000 mcs, and portability and lightness that enable easy erection and dismantling by a crew of ten relatively untrained men in a period of two hours.
