Differential Station Effects under Fixed-Ratio and Regular Reinforcement Schedules

To investigate the effects of partial satiation of thirst on the behavior of water-deprived rats under fixed-ratio and regular reinforcement schedules.nThe satiating operations induced two characteristic effects. First, performance under the fixed-ratio schedule showed an over-all decline which arose as a result of an increase in the duration of periods of no responding between bursts of responses.
