Determination of Chlorinated Rubber and Polyvinyl Chloride in the Presence of Each Other

Various aspects of the analytical chemistry of chlorinated rubber and polyvinyl chloride were considered in developing a procedure for the determination of these substances in the presence of each other. A method is proposed whereby the chlorinated rubber is separated from the polyvinyl chloride by the use of chloroform which dissolves the chlorinated rubber but not the polyvinyl chloride.
