The Steady-State Thermoelastic Problem for the Elastic Layer Resting on a Rigid Foundation

The present paper deals with the determination of the steady-state thermal stresses in an elastic layer which is resting on a rigid frictionless foundation. The layer occupies the region 0≤z≤d, the surface ZnO being free from stress and the surface z=d being in contact with the foundation. This problem differs from those considered in the previous paper, in that the surfaces of the layer are not always completely free from stress.
