A study for the generation of basic data necessary to permit structural and special purpose applications of metal-ceramic composites is under way at the Foundation.nDuring the current period attention has been directed toward selection of materials and the initiation of experimental work. Ceramic and metallic materials were chosen on the basis of the ratio of their thermal expansivities.
