摘要

A-spectrographs method for the determination of acid-soluble aluminum in low-alloy steels was developed using a solution technique with a rotating graphite disc and a high-voltage alternating current spark. The method is rapid compared to chemical analysis, permitting a considerable saving in time. Of the common alloying elements used in low-alloy steels, only tungsten interferes.nThe method applies to samples containing 0.02% to 0.25% acid-soluble aluminum. This range includes most of the samples submitted for analysis to the Analytical Chemistry Branch of the Watertown Arsenal Laboratories.
