摘要

Fatigue tests are classified into three types with consideration to the appropriate method of evaluating the data. Fundamental sta?tistical concepts, general methods, and useful tools are presented.nThe possibilities of estimating distribution parameters have "been examined. Starting from the concept of information available in a sample, various methods of estimating the parameters of location, scale and shape are discussed, completed by a comparison of the efficiency of various estimates. General principles of fitting curves to observations are outlined and applied to the methods of maximum likelihood, linear regression, and best linear estimators.
