Creep tests on bicrystals of pure zinc showed that in sinc there is no explicit relation between the amount of grain boundary sliding and grain boundary migration. Observations made while the specimens were being tested indicate that port of the inactive periods of grain boundary sliding ore due to grain boundary migration.
