Hot-Pressed and Roll-Reduced Compacts of Alloy Ti-6%A1-4%V Powder Recovered from Wrought Metal Scrap

Massive scrap of alloy Ti - 6％AL - 4%V was embrittled with hydrogen and comminuted to powder of metallurgical quality. Compacts of this powder, hot-pressed to theoretical density, closely approximated the original com¬position in chemistry.
