Feasibility of Curvilinear Alignments for Residential Sanitary Sewers

The report summarizes a study comprising an investigation and evaluation of the use in the United States of curved or curvilinear alignments for residential sanitary sewers, as distinguished from the conventional practice wherein only straight runs are allowed between manholes. The primary objective was to ascertain the feasibility of curved alignments on the basis of actual experience in communities where such alignments have been used. (Author)
