INITIAL PERMEABILITY SPECTRA IN FERRITES AND GARNETS

Measurements of the complex initial permeability (μ’-jμ”) have been made in the frequency range 5 Mc/s to 1),000 Mc/s on several mixed ferrites and on five magnetic garnets. The materials include nickel ferrites with five different densities; nickel-zinc ferrites; nickel-cobalt ferrites; nickel ferrite-aluminates; a magnesium-manganese ferrite; and magnetic garnets. Knowledge of the properties of these materials gained through resonance and magnetization measurements is correlated with its permeability measurements.
