METHODS FOR INCREASING THE EFFICIENCY OF LETHALITY COMPUTATIONS

The Monte Carlo method is examined as it is used to calculate lethal area on high speed digital computers. The primary object of the examina¬tion is to determine what sampling procedures are most efficient in this context. Theoretical justifications are given for a number of sampling pro¬cedures, and a detailed set of data is examined by way of illustration.
