摘要

This report presents the results of an analytical and experimental investigation for the determination of the load necessary to produce a specified amount of inelastic deformation in members which are subjected to eccentric tensile loads at elevated temperatures for a specified time. Two different theories were used in analyzing the experimental data. The are hyperbolic sine theory uses material properties obtained from an are hyperbolic sine curve approximation of the stress-strain diagram of the material. The interaction-curve-moment-load-curve theory uses material properties obtained from two straight line approximation of the stress-strain diagram of the material.
