This procedure has been prepared for use in BUWEPS and BUSHIPS Secondary Standards Laboratories.nThe procedure was specifically developed to utilize instruments presently at the disposal of the Laboratories of the Bureau of Naval Weapons and the Bureau of Ships.nListing of instruments by make and model number in the Equipment Required (or Equivalent) Section carries no impli¬cation that these particular instruments are preferred, recommended, or approved by the Navy Department for utilization by other than Navy laboratories.nIf parties elect to use the procedure notwithstanding the contents of the first paragraph, then parties having equivalent equipment produced by other manufacturers are encouraged to solicit information from such manufacturers concerning methods of substitution and modifications necessary to make this procedure compatible with their equipment.
